Butter

I saw myself in the supermarket the other day, holding a bottle of cream, discounted to clear - wondering if I had any use for it. I decided then that I would take it home and make some butter - since it was so cheap and I new the butter would be fine once the buttermilk was removed.
I always had a feeling that making butter would be a bit to much effort - so I grabbed out my basic cookbook and was surprised - whip, strain, rinse, strain and done. In a matter of minutes I had made myself some butter and had a nice little bottle of buttermilk left over which I then used to make soft butter rolls and picklets, which also had some of my freshly made butter in it.
I then decided to make some Lemon Butter with some of the butter too - you can read about that too. Thinking I might make some herb and garlic butter with the remaining.
